It got to the point that as I had grown emotionally, I learned that those who were the type to push or ignore another's boundaries were people I didn't want in my life. I had a LOT of those kinds of "friends." I weeded about a half dozen people in life. There was a void for almost year, made worse by Covid isolation. It was a reflective time. But my life has changed for the better. I'm happier with fewer but "better" people in my life and I no longer feel bad by instrusive boundary pushers because they don't last long around me.
